Da’Vine Joy Randolph Went Full Goth Glam for the Oscars After Party

When it comes to awards season, we can’t help but root for those up for their first-ever awards. While we love a record-breaking moment like Billie Eilish becoming the youngest person ever to win two Oscars, we got a little emotional over Lily Gladstone walking away with historic firsts at the Golden Globes and SAGs, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph earning her first Oscar after a decade in the industry. How do the stars tend to celebrate these monumental wins? The after parties, of course.

On March 10, after all the awards were handed out, the prestigious Vanity Fair Oscars After Party brought together all the biggest stars from film, music, TV, fashion, and more. However, none of the attendees made more of a celebratory statement with their look than the aforementioned Randolph, who wore the epitome of goth glamour to the red carpet—of course, posing for pictures with her freshly engraved Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Although every inch of her after party look was, well, Da’Vine, her beauty look made us do a double take—particularly her vampy black lipstick and wavy blonde updo.

To complement her all-black outfit—a strapless, floor-length gown with bedazzled and see-through accents paired with matching opera gloves—Randolph decided a black lip was best. Standing out from a glowy, radiant base was a patent leather-like black lip. Perfectly inline with the natural shape of her lips, the black pigment left a glossy, uniform finish that tied in perfectly with the rest of her look.

The black shade also continued to the actors' eyes. There, Randolph wore a stroke of eyeliner on her upper lid paired with long, wispy, dark black lashes extending a few inches from her face.

Where the rest of her ensemble was dark, her hair was a bright honey-blonde. A stylishly messy updo, Da’Vine’s hair was first parted in a deep side part before being pulled back into a loose bun with high-fashion flyaways. Her hairstylist left the ends of her bun loose, giving a spiky effect while also adding a bit of edge and drama. All of Randolph’s blonde-to-blonder ombré hair was styled in crimped waves that were most noticeable in the strands left free from the bun. Those same strands were also what added to the glamour, framing her face and grazing her shoulders.
