Hailey Bieber’s Ballerina Chrome Nails Are Going Straight to Our Spring Mood Board

The way things are going, the phrase “Hailey Bieber-inspired” is about to replace “florals” when people make beauty-focused The Devil Wears Prada jokes. A new Hailey Bieber-inspired manicure for spring? Groundbreaking.

While flowers are always in when the weather gets a little warmer, so is whatever the model has going on—whether we’re talking hair colors, lip shades, or nail polish. On April 3, Bieber (and soon the world’s) new favorite nail art was revealed: a shiny pink shade that looks exactly like the inside of a conch shell.

The manicure was first featured in a post by the rhode Instagram account. “Little moments from March,” wrote the brand alongside a photo and video carousel that featured a number of behind-the-scenes campaign and product test shots (what is that tube in the last image?!).

In the first slide, Bieber uses her shiny pink, almond-shaped manicure to pat product onto her also-shiny pink lips. Her cheeks are the same color: a natural, rosy tone that I've gone through many blushes in my life trying to capture exactly. By the way, that's what I personally think the new launch is going to be: blush!

While only the brand founder was tagged in the photo, I imagine her nail art was the work of her regular collaborator/the creator of so many of her famous manis, Zola Ganzorigt. In mid-March, the celebrity nail artist crafted a design for Bieber that was almost exactly the same in shape and shine, just a little less pink. Worn long (she uses the former ballerina’s natural nails, not extensions), Bieber’s fingers are perfectly primped in both shots—though I do love the girly feeling that the pink brings out.

“The glazed donut nail trend will never go out of style,” wrote Ganzorigt in a separate March Instagram post that featured the look, which she recently crafted for a 2024 Oscars party. “It’s been almost 2 years since it went viral and has become a red carpet classic.”

From glazed donuts to ballet slippers and whatever's cooking next, I love to watch these nails gleam.
