Lily-Rose Depp’s Vampy Spring Manicure Is So Easy to Copy

With The Idol behind her and a remake of Nosferatu on the horizon, Lily-Rose Depp is deeply in vampireland. And yes, with both Jocelyn and Tedros’ energy-sucking tendencies on full display, The Idol is absolutely a vampire story—if you don’t believe me you can ask my high school English teacher to explain.

So, what’s a girl caught in the throes of bloodsucking storylines to do? Echo the themes in her manicure, of course. On Tuesday, April 23, Depp shared a peek of her new nail art via her Instagram Story. Crafted by her regular nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt, the short rounded manicure features a deep oxblood red color and glossy finish.

Ganzorigt reshared the snap, adding a bit of context to the manicure. “Tokyo nails” she wrote alongside a red heart emoji—a nod to her client’s current travels through Japan. In the snap, Depp’s nails are juxtaposed with a naked hand that belongs to artist Fumiko Imano. When side by side with an undone nail, her glossy rounded mani is all the more intriguing… and the short shape looks closer to medium-length.

Although the manicurist didn’t share the exact shade she used for the look, I have some good guesses. Because Ganzorigt is an OPI ambassador, my number one pick is the brand’s Got the Blues For Red, a deep, blue-based red. Como Se Llama?, a more ruby-like shade, is also a safe bet. Katy Perry recently rocked a similarly-hued, albeit lighter, manicure, and we know for a fact that nail artist Britney Boyce used the Apres Nails shade Vampire Drunk to get the look.

In a separate image shared by Depp, she rides the train in Tokyo, grasping a handle so as to show off her manicure even more. As seen in the photo, the rest of her glam is surprisingly simple and just as easy to recreate: her bronde hair is worn down and unstyled and she rocks just a touch of blush alongside her nude lipstick. What can we say? She’s the idol.
