Of all the many manicure muses we have here at Byrdie, Megan Thee Stallion is one we will consistently come back to. The rap superstar just knows her way around a nail look—more often than not, a super long, pointy nail look. Some of our favorites include her dark denim mani, hyper realistic bloody fang nails, butterfly chrome nails, and her electric blue French tips. However, her latest nail moment is up there with the best of them.
On March 12, Thee Stallion posted an assortment of selfies to her Instagram showing off the latest look from her recent Japan trip that has blessed us with handful of viral looks from the star— including the aforementioned butterfly chrome nails and an anime-inspired bob. This new look is catching attention online thanks to her outfit: a reworked Roberto Cavalli set with an ultra-cropped brown leather jacket and low-rise Y2K leather pants. However, as you can guess, it was the chocolate nails she paired with the outfit that caught our attention the most.
As is the norm for Meg, the chocolate color laid on top of ultra-long stiletto-shaped nails—so long and sharp we wonder if she could bring them through TSA on her way home. Not so much dark chocolate and definitely not white chocolate, this was the perfect sweet milk chocolate shade, or, based on her “☕️” caption, maybe it’s more of a mocha mani. The hue perfectly matched the brown leather of her outfit, also meshing nicely with her hair and makeup.
Finishing off the look, Meg wore her hair down in a side part with wispy side swept bangs covering her forehead. There was a loose, natural wave from root to end. Of course, there was also plenty of shine and bounce for days. Underneath the hairstyle, Meg’s face was stamped to perfection. On top of a perfectly matte base, the rapper added a deep, glossy lip and long, fluttery lashes.

First, as with any nail look, remove any lingering nail polish with remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length and shape—this would also be the time to apply any tips or press-on if you want. After that, buff the surface for an even nail bed before applying your favorite base coat.
Then, it’s time for color. With your nails prepped and dry, paint two even coats of a color like OPI’s Chocolate Moose ($12) over the top and let dry. Then, finish off with a high-shine top coat, and you will practically be Megan Thee Stallion.
