Sydney Sweeney’s French Manicure Is Dripping In Diamonds

We can always count on Sydney Sweeney to give us chic, subtle twists on the classic French manicure. Whether she’s accenting the timeless manicure with tiny, hidden details, turning the tips into winding abstract designs, adding a pearlescent chrome finish, or trying it out in a chocolate brown color, her French tips are always the peak of glamour. Thankfully, her latest French nail look kept that trend intact.

On March 5, Sweeney was at Paris Fashion Week to sit in the front row at Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 24 runway show. Alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Maddie Ziegler, and Lorde, the HBO muse came decked out in full head-to-toe Miu Miu. What did she pair her designer ensemble with? A freshly debuted, wet-styled lob and, the center of our attention, a 3D crystal French manicure.

Done by her go-to nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt, each of her nails matched with a medium length and almond shape. Just like any other French manicure, the look started with a glossy, skin-matching base coat. For this manicure, Ganzorigt went with a baby pink-nude shade that was a little bit brighter than Sweeney’s natural nails. Then, where her nails started to extend past her fingertips, the fun crystal-embellished tips started.

Though each nail had its own arrangement of crystals that was slightly different from the next, for the most part, they were all pretty similar. Each had a curved crescent shape to start, extending to the ends with a fully filled crystal tip made up of irridecent, 3D silver crystals. Under the paparazzi's flash, the gemstones reflected the light back to cameras—even more so than her sequin hot pants.

Wearing what has been one of Miu Miu’s must-have items since its debut, Sweeney posed for pictures in what could be the shortest shorts to ever short. Fitting more like high-waisted underwear, the silky white fabric was completely covered in bright white pearls, clear paillettes, and silver rhinestones—perfectly matching the French mani on her fingers.

As for the rest of the look, Sweeney layered the shorts over sheer black tights and tucked them into tall black heels. On top Sweeney layered a cropped silk blouse over an oversized blazer and accessorized with a small black miu miu purse and skinny oval sunnies.
